VISTAR aims to create robust livelihood opportunities to enable households to earn more and lead healthier lives. We, at VISTAR, identified slum areas at Pethapur – Chardi – Gandhinagar and worked for them.
We found out some local products, we also trained about 40 women to support them to create few more products and taught them to market their products. We provided them the training for both producing items and also how to sell them.
There is nomadic population found in this area. To create viable livelihood, Gandhinagar Municipal Commissioner (GMC) provided funding to start training program for this population.
It was a successful project; we can proudly say that we could give sustainable and secured livelihood opportunities for specific population in this area.
